Carte is a simple geographic discovery layer that shows what exists right now, right here — local micro and small-scale producers, farmgates, market stalls, and direct-from-producer spots.
It is not a marketplace. There are no orders, payments, delivery options, or transaction handling.
It is not a certification body. We do not verify, rank, or endorse anyone.
It is not a social network or growth game. No badges, leaderboards, points, or nudges.
Carte is simply a neutral visibility map:
The goal is straightforward: help people discover real, small-scale local food producers in their area without middlemen, algorithms telling them what to buy, or unnecessary friction.
Right now Carte is in early beta. We’re testing with a small group of producers and curious locals in Tasmania (with plans to expand).
Producers: You can create or claim your spot, add photos to your gallery, define your categories/provenance, and see how your location appears on the map and in heatmaps.
Consumers / Locals: You can browse the map, search, save favourite producers or searches, and explore the area without any tracking or profiling.
We’ve designed Carte to feel light, respectful of everyone’s time, and useful even for one-person or seasonal operations.
Your feedback during this beta phase is extremely valuable — especially on clarity, ease of use for micro-producers, and whether the map feels helpful rather than overwhelming.
Thank you for helping shape Carte.
